David Grossman is a pop artist raised in 1970's suburbia, his upbringing fueled by strawberry frosted Pop-Tarts, plenty of soda, and a color TV that broadcast seven channels. With few distractions, he immersed himself in the growing consumer/consumption experience that would ultimately shape his career in advertising and digital media.
David’s life-long curiosity and amusement at the powerful connections consumers have with brands and products is central to his art. A cultural observer, he uses the explosion of advertising and media in all forms as a backdrop; his work often combines elements found in comic books, magazines, advertisements, and common household items that first inspired him to draw.
